Course description
Join us on this unique and powerful form of visual storytelling originally created for print magazines, newspapers and/or social media outlets.
This course helps the student translate everyday life into ‘real’ images. With the right techniques, one shot may reveal a lot about a single instant in a person’s life.
Photojournalism allows the photographer the opportunity to be in direct contact with people and the diverse societies they may belong to.
This course includes 5 sessions (3 classroom sessions and 2 outing sessions)
By the end of the course, student will understand:
- Creating visual narratives
- Documenting Society
- Being aware of the social impact of “street photography”
- Gaining knowledge on the ethical aspects of visual storytelling
- What ISO, shutter and aperture controls to use for a given photograph;
